The JCK Editor has been a faithful friend and it is with some sadness that we announce its end-of-life. It's last maintenance release was on 09 March 2015 and although we were keen to support it to the end of the year, this is no longer possible due to the arrival of the new Microsoft Edge browser. This arrival has introduced a set of issues with regards to how it interacts which means that the 6x series is unable to make this transition up.

As of today the batten has been firmly placed into the hands of its predecessor the Ark Editor. To coin a phrase from the Superman Returns: “The son becomes the father, and the father becomes the son.” There is some speculation on the web with regards to what this means but my favourite interpretation is that the when Jor-El dies, he passes his spirit into Superman so he can have his powers.
